Hong Kong Airport Services Ltd (HAS) was established as a joint venture between Cathay Pacific Airways (CX) and Hong Kong Dragon Airlines Ltd (KA), to prepare for professional ramp and cargo services to airlines at Chek Lap Kok, Lantau Island, Hong Kong.

The Airport Authority (AA) awarded the franchise of Aircraft Ramp Handling Services to HAS.

We were awarded the license for airside passenger and crew transportation at the new airport at Chek Lap Kok, Lantau Island, Hong Kong.

HAS began operating at the Hong Kong International Airport.

We attained AHM 804 accreditation from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

In August, HAS celebrated 10 years of operating at the Hong Kong International Airport. We currently serve 37 international airlines including Cathay Pacific Airways and Dragonair.
In September, HAS was rewarded with the passenger handling license at the HKIA.
On 1 November 2008, HAS integrated with Hong Kong International Airport Services Ltd (HIAS), creating one of the largest airport services providers in Asia. The new and stronger HAS will provide quality and a one-stop shop service for airlines at the HKIA. We are now providing passenger handling for 13 airlines, and ramp and cargo services for 37 airlines.
HAS became a wholly owned subsidiary of Cathay Pacific Airways (CX) on 1 December 2008.

IATA awarded an ISAGO Certification to HAS. The accomplishment demonstrates our quality, safety, and efficiency in Ground Handling.
