A staff of Hong Kong Airport Services Ltd (HAS) was preliminarily tested positive for COVID-19 on 31 December 2021. The company has notified the Airport Authority Hong Kong and relevant authorities, as well as staff via intranet immediately.
The individual responsible for passenger service at the airport restricted area. Staff wore a surgical mask when performing their duties. The individual last reported to work on 29 December. The co-workers have been arranged to quarantine according to the advice from the Department of Health. HAS has arranged thorough cleaning and disinfection of the office and rest room where the staff last visited. The company has also notified the Airport Authority Hong Kong immediately the places where the index staff had visited in airport on the last reported duty days for cleaning and disinfection.
The health and safety of all working parties is of paramount importance. We will continue to provide regular updates. All staff members are required to wear a face mask and conducted temperature checks. We always remind all staff to maintain good personal hygiene and advise them to seek medical advice immediately if they feel unwell.
