How we innovate

HAS is built on a culture of innovation, and we put it at the heart of everything we do. We’re always looking to improve how we work – from introducing advances in digitalisation, to continually trialling new ideas on the ground that make our workflows smoother and more efficient. 


We’re taking an increasingly paperless approach, making our operations more sustainable and allowing us to harness the power of data to analyse and improve our business – and your results.

Our commitment to safety

Safety comes first at HAS. We maintain a positive safety culture which encourages our people to share safety responsibility at every level. We’re continually working to improve our approach to safety, providing education and training to create a safer workplace.


Our dedicated, impartial safety team reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and monitors a wide range of measures and carries out safety activities to help prevent accidents and prepare for every eventuality. 


Our efforts have been recognised by a range of awards, including both Gold and Silver HKIA Safety Excellence Awards in 2019 and 2021/22 respectively, as well as the Best Safety Performance Award - Ramp Handling Operator Group in the HKIA Airfield and Baggage Hall Safety Campaign 2020. We have also maintained a 14-year consecutive streak keeping JAL ramp-incident free.
