More than just a new bus — a journey designed around our customers

At HAS by Cathay, we are committed to delivering reliable and seamless support services to the airlines we serve. As part of our ongoing efforts to reduce emissions and drive operational sustainability, we are proud to welcome two new electric crew buses to our fleet, enhancing the transportation experience for airline crew members travelling between the airport facilities.

What makes this launch particularly meaningful is the collaboration behind it. To bring the project to life, our Operations and Engineering teams worked closely together and even travelled to Ningbo, where they met with the manufacturer, CRRC Corporation Ltd., to share operational insights, review designs, and fine-tune features. Their shared goal was simple: to create a vehicle that not only supports our sustainability ambitions, but also truly works for the passengers who use it every day.

The result is an eCrew bus designed with customer experience, practicality and reliability in mind. Built with a durable aluminium body to withstand the demands of airport operations, it provides comfortable seating for 28 passengers, ample luggage space for crew members travelling with their baggage, and a driving range of up to 330km on a single charge. Every detail was carefully considered to help ensure a smooth, comfortable and dependable journey.

Beyond delivering a more comfortable and efficient transportation solution for our crews, the buses also support our electrification journey and transition to lower-carbon operations, with an estimated annual reduction of more than 20,000 litres of diesel consumption, equivalent to around 40,000 kgCO2e.
